Hoshindo means ‘the way of protecting the body’. This has a twofold meaning and refers to the actual self defence training and also training without injuring yourself. Incorperating ancient tradition the best of modern scientific methods our club is the best place for your to begin or continue your journey.
The aim of training in karate is to promote whole of body protection and development through specialised karate training methods, in a way that can be practiced, enjoyed and applied by everyone.
The vision of Ho Shin Do Karate is providing a way of karate training that protects and develops the body and mind.
It is the mission of Ho Shin Do Karate to provide for the physical, mental, emotional, and social growth of students through karate training. An interdisciplinary approach and an interactive style of teaching is used. Fundamentals of both traditional and modern elements of karate, appropriate to the age and developmental level of students, will be taught within defined values. It is hoped that in satisfying this mission, students will develop important, individual life skills.
