Adrian Heeks: It's all good!
Hi to all our fellow karateka. I hope the training is going well and you are reaping the rewards of all the hard work.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all that have helped along the way to enable us to attempt Sho Dan in Manchester on the 17th.
The turn out was amazing, hundreds of students passing 8th and 7th Kyu grades as they began their Karate Journey, At least a hundred more from 6th to 4th Kyu for those who have kept to the way. I was so proud to see two of my own students achieve 3rd Kyu - Well done Paul and Luke! And finaly, the 6 of us, who have walked the path together reached our Sho Dan Grade.
Drawing on my black belt for the first time was a humbling experience, one which I hope I will always remember. Such is the responsibility of the grade we have acheived.
I look forward to continuing the journey with my counterparts with the knowledge that no matter how far we go, at least we are now officialy beginers.
Thank you Steve Sensei for all you have done for us, Thank you to all the Sensei that joined us for the day, (Christian Sensei, Ian Sensei, Bob Sensei, Indy Sensei and Marie Sensei), all of which tested us to our limits and gave up their own time to be with us. I'm sorry that Shihan Rod could not be there for the day but our thoughts were with him and his family and he was there with us all in our hearts.
Warmest Regards to all,
Adrian.

Peter McMurtry: Hi from IOW. UK
Hi to everyone at Brisbane Hoshindo. I've been in the UK for nearly a year now. Still trying to keep up to date with what you all are doing through the web site.
I'm training Shotokan these days and enjoying it very much. The differences between Go Ju and Shotokan are subtle but not. I have learnt to appreciate the difference in the techniques from both styles.
Hope your all well and training hard.
Regards Peter

Julien FitzGerald: Hello
I am new to Ho Shin Do, having spent the last two years in the wilderness with another club, grading 2 belts in 2 years.
Â
Went to my first class at the beginning of February and learned more in a 4 hour lesson than I did in 2 years with the other club.
Â
Shame I am moving to London in May 2010 as I would love to carry on with Ho Shin Do and work towards my black belt.
