Damien Seidel, started training in karate in 1996 and has been teaching classes since 2002. In 2007 he, with fellow instructors (Peter, Naomi and Ian), formed their own club with the view of transitioning from sports karate to a traditional system. Located east of Adelaide, the dojo has a culture of learning and continuous improvement and has classes for children and adults for all levels of experience.
His associations with the Martin family were forged during the 1990s. In January 2009, the Adelaide group joined Ho Shin Do Karate, forming the Adelaide dojo and has not looked back since.
Damien also holds dan ranking in sports karate and when living in the United Stated trained with a JKA Shotokan club in Baltimore. Damien has a huge passion for karate and fitness, and is humoured by his karate widowed wife, Sandra and his little shadow, Blake.
Damien works as an engineer in the defence industry (predominately aircraft structures) and recently completed a Masters of Engineering in Military Systems Integration.
