Qimen, Cycle Gate

This point is located on the chest, directly below the nipple, in the 6th intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline (roughly about three finger widths).

This point is the front-mu point of the Liver Meridian. Front-mu points are located relatively close to the proximity of the actual organ. This point crosses with the Spleen meridian.

This point can inflict great pain especially when hit from straight on, although it is not a fatal blow. Continually striking the area will increase its sensitivity. In goju kata many chudan level strikes are intended for this point.
